SMLIGHT PoE Injector 48V 24W – Universal Ethernet Power Supply No power outlet near your sensor, camera, or Zigbee dongle? This PoE injector combines data and power over a single Ethernet cable. You can place devices exactly where you want them, without additional wiring. The injector works with any IEEE 802.3af/at-compatible device, from a Zigbee coordinator to an mmWave presence sensor or IP camera. Power and Connectivity The injector delivers 48V DC at a maximum of 24W and complies with IEEE 802.3af/at. Input voltage is universal: 100–240V AC, 50–60 Hz, suitable for any European outlet. The Ethernet speed is 10/100 Mbps via two RJ45 ports. Connection Plug the power adapter into the wall socket, connect the DATA IN port to your switch or router, and the DATA+POWER OUT port to your PoE device. Since PoE operates over conductors 4/5 (+) and 7/8 (−), a full 8-conductor (Cat5e or higher) Ethernet cable is mandatory. A 4-conductor cable will not provide power and will not work. Expansion and Accessories The injector is compatible with a wide range of smart home hardware. Use it for SMLIGHT SLZB dongles as a Zigbee coordinator, the Apollo Automation R PRO-1 as a PoE mmWave presence sensor, the Sensy E1 Pro Multi-Sense as an all-in-one environmental sensor, or a PoE IP camera in your security setup. For multiple PoE devices simultaneously, a PoE switch is more efficient; this injector is most practical for a single device in a specific location. Safety and Reliability The injector features automatic protection against overvoltage, short circuits, and excessive current draw. In case of a fault, the protection automatically recovers without manual reset. Operating temperature ranges from 0°C to 40°C. Home Assistant The PoE injector does not have its own HA integration; it solely supplies power to the connected device. The entities and integration you get depend on the connected device: SMLIGHT SLZB dongle: automatically detectable via the SMLIGHT SLZB integration, fully local without cloud. Pair via ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT to the serial port over the network. Apollo Automation R PRO-1: via ESPHome integration in HA. Entities: presence detection, distance, motion zone, RSSI. Pairing Procedure for SMLIGHT SLZB Dongle Connect the 8-conductor Cat5e cable between the injector and the SLZB dongle. Connect the DATA IN port of the injector to your switch or router. Plug the injector into the power outlet and wait for the dongle to obtain an IP address via DHCP. In HA, go to Settings > Devices & Services > Add Integration > SMLIGHT SLZB and enter the IP address.
