The Zooz ZAC38 strengthens and stabilizes the Z-Wave mesh network in challenging areas such as thick walls or longer distances. Thanks to the 800 series Z-Wave chip, it offers faster communication, S2/SmartStart, OTA updates, and a compact size that frees up the second wall socket. Unique to the ZAC38 is the built-in battery backup: in the event of a power outage, the device automatically switches to battery power, sends an "AC main disconnected" message to the hub, and switches back as soon as mains power returns.
